Working together for the best possible care and prevention

The German Retina Society is an organisation of scientist and clinical doctors specialised in the research, diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving the posterior segment of the eye including the retina, choroid and the vitreous body. We combine and transfer the knowledge of its members in specialist publications and lectures at scientific meetings as well as the announcement of evidence-based treatment recommendations and guidelines in close cooperation with the other national scientific societies. A particular emphasis is placed on the promotion of young researchers.

The aim of our international network is the exchange of ophthalmological knowledge for the best possible patient care and disease prevention - objective, independent and free of economic interests.
